In the late 1960's two naval architects (David Freeman and Gordon Wyatt) were searching the UK for a GRP motor sailer; a boat like that of the Scandinavian designs which did both sailing and motoring properly and were frustrated that nothing matched their (fairly exacting) standards. So, they designed their own, starting at 30' and from there the Fisher family of yachts began.
The fantastic sea-keeping capabilities of these hulls meant that the desire to sail further required a bigger boat! The Fisher 37 was the same shape but the larger overall volume meant her cruising range increased sig...

Built for C Thomas Clagett Jr, an American businessman in 1976, this 72' ketch has had a fascinating history! Built at Derecktor Shipyard (known as America's most accomplished boatbuilder), her early life was spent around Florida and the Bahamas where having a centreboard made cruising that area accessible for a large yacht.
She came across the Atlantic and made her way to the Isle of Wight. Her last outing was in 2020 when she sailed across the channel. She is now afloat and does need to be moved from the marina on sale completion.
There is a lot of boat here, she has huge liveaboard p...

Georgy Girl benefits from recent upgrades of new sails, including cruising chute with snuffler, plus she was re-engined just a few years ago.
Whilst not intended as a racer she has a sufficient turn of speed for the discerning cruising sailor, that is what Ian Anderson the designer and Colvic Craft Ltd UK who were based in Essex se...

The Colgate 26 is a collaboration between an Olympic sailor and a naval architect. They called it 'The boat for all reasons', to sail fast, to have fun and, most importantly, to be safe whilst doing it. They are popular one-design day boats and are great for teaching the transition from dinghies to keelboats.
On deck they are simple and practical, the rig is powerful and yet easily controlled and the large self-draining cockpit adds to the versatility. Safety really was paramount in this design and the open, low transom means that getting back aboard is much easier.
