Westerly Seahawk 34 - 1988
A late (Sail No. SK100), fin keeled Westerly Seahawk 34 that is beautifully presented and benefits from a whole host of replacements and upgrades during the previous and current ownerships (over £14,000 worth in the last two years alone), topped off by the current owner who is a currently serving professional marine engineer and who has been through this vessel's 'mechanicals' with a fine tooth-comb to satisfy the high standards he sets for his family's sailing requirements.
The Seahawk has always proven popular for cruising; the com... read more

Westerly Yachts were renowned for building good boats and the Westerly Griffon is no exception. It was the replacement for the Centaur which was a hard act to follow. The sailing abilities of the Griffon are exceptional for a bilge keel boat. She is easily manoeuvrable and very capable in adverse conditions.
The accommodation comprises of a forward cabin with 2 single berths which can convert to a double and the heads are located to port with a hanging locker opposite. The main saloon has 2 settee berths with a quarter berth on the port side and the galley opposite. This example is well pr... read more

The Storm 33 was designed by Westerly as a racing yacht with a good turn of speed and excellent accommodation and headroom as a result of her wider beam.
This particular example has been in the same ownership for twenty years, the engine has been well maintained and is very clean. Presented in good order with a continual program of upgrades and renewals. Lightly used for East Coast cruising with occasional trips across the Channel and regularly wintered ashore. Currently stored ashore and scheduled to be launched 5 November (weather permitting)

Designed by Laurent Giles, and introduced in 1972, the Westerly Longbow is a solid coastal or offshore cruiser, built like all Westerlys of the period, to Lloyds specification and fitted out as a spacious family boat
Although the same hull was used by other models, to me the Longbow with her fin keel, ketch rig and aft cockpit seems to have eliminated most of the compromises you are usually faced with when deciding on a cruising boat. They are known to sail well and are easily single-handed with a sail plan option for all conditions. The interior is light, spacious and extremely practical f... read more
