Designed by Robert Harris of Vancouver, Canada, the Vancouver 32 is a traditional long-keeled passage maker, although with a great deal more interior space than many older long-keeled designs. The design is aimed squarely at long-distance cruising, and is much sought after for this purpose. This is an early but unusually lightly used Vancouver 32, for sale now only because of the long term owner's age.... read more

This is a lovely example of the Kim Holman designed long-keel.
She's beautifully finished with fine woodwork interior and many original features.
Her wooden hull was fibreglass coated at time of construction and has striking lines.
With a recent survey and great capabilities, as can be attested by her early race pedigree, I can recommend a viewing to appreciate what's on offer.
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.

The Sigma 38 alongside her little sister the 33, are one of those yacht designs that are instantly recognisable. 125 were built between 1988 and 1993 and they have remained popular, less so now as school and charter boats but well suited to sensible budget racers who value her one-design status but also her versatility to cruise with the family. There is an active class association and for those in the Solent a good turn out for the Fastnet (7 finished in 2017) and Cowes Week
This particular boat, previously coded and now enjoying retirement has had considerable work undertaken in the last ... read more

Boatshed London is pleased to bring this excellent family cruiser to the market.
With her full-bodied hull, she is a very stable and comfortable boat, that was built to last.
She would make a fantastic teachingsailing school boat, as she sleeps 7, has a centre cockpit and will stay on her feet in a blow.
This particular boat has been in the family since she was commissioned and is only being sold due to a planned excursion around Britain in another boat.
She was last out of the water in 2014, so is due to be lifted and re-antifouled.
Currently moored in St Katherine's Dock, there is the a... read more

The well trusted Contention 33 was originally reviewed by Yachting World magazine back in 1976, describing her as a "3/4 Tonner of just the right size for a racing boat which can be made into a sensible cruiser". A well found sea boat from the highly respected Doug Peterson and very well built by Southern Ocean Shipyard she was at the forefront of 3/4 ton design and led the field into Contessa 34 OOD and others.
This boat has had 3 owners and this owner has had the boat for 35 years. All the running riffing comes back to the cockpit for single hand use, the engine was serviced 2 years ago ... read more
