Isis 21 Sportsboat
Designed as a 3/4 person sportsboat, ideal as a club racer.
She is rigged with an asymmetric spinnaker & carbon pole, but can be converted back to the original symmetric spinnaker system.
She has a carbon fibre lifting keel with a 275kg lead bulb with an all up weight of 640kg.
Hex was built in 1998 by Seawing yachts & is 6.4m overall with a beam of 2.49m.
With the assymetric spinnaker set up she sails off a PY of 940.
Very easily launched with the trailer & easy to step her mast.
She is currently configured to use SB3/SB20 sails so always a ready supply of good second hand sails available to keep the costs down.
She is very light on the helm & very responsive, extremely stable with the spinnaker flying.
Fully equipped with largely Ronstan & Harken fittings.
Carbon tiller & carbon rudder with an aluminium spinlock adjustable tiller extension.
Fitted with depth sounder & log connected to a Tacktick Race Master.
She sits on a purpose made road trailer with moulded cradles & due to her low weight can be towed by an average sized family car.
Currently ashore at West Mersea, Essex.
Ready to go for the new race season just needs a coat of antifouling
A lot of fun for a very reasonable price.
