In the late 70’s and early 80’s Dufour yachts sub 30 foot were the yachts against which others were compared.
In 1977 the Dufour 2800 took over from extremely successful Dufour 27. In total between 1978 and 1984 some 1300 were built making the 2800 the second most successful model designed and built by Michel Dufour
Many are still sailing today often making passages across the Channel to France
The LOA is just a little over 27 ft. as the 2800 refers to the ballast weight of 2800 kilos.
The Dufour 2800 is deceptively speedy, certainly fast enough for any discerning cruising sailor.
But the real ace with the Dufour 2800 is the accommodation. For a 27 footer it is cavernous. The 2800 boasts of 5 berths with a spacious cockpit and roomy saloon.
