English Folkboat £5,950
'Hangover' is a red, wooden English Folkboat, built in 1961 by Woodnutts of Bembridge, IoW. The carvel-built hull has been epoxy sheathed to make it watertight, and as a result the hull is in very good, dry condition, having been stored in an open-sided barn for the last few years. Stripped teak deck and cabin sole. The deck and coachroof appear dirty in the pictures, but this is just the result of barn storage dust and will easily be washed off. The rig is similar to that of a Nordic Folkboat. Mast and boom are wood.

"8ft Smack Yacht, bought as an open boat ,a "shell" from Portsmouth in 1985. The Testers Boatyard, Hollowshore, Kent, sold her on, as a restoration project to her present owner in 1986.
Originally she was a twin masted Lugger, built circa 1895.
It was decided that she would be re rigged to carry a Smack's Gaff Rig, have an engine installed, new rig, spars and sails, a deck and a simple coach roof over an open accommodation cabin.
The restoration was completed and she was back sailing in 2013.
Old surveys were made of her in 2014 and again 2018.

Dormouse is typical of a pocket cruiser from this period. Built by Shuttlewoods in 1957 on the River Roach. A traditional carvel construction of mahogany on oak and copper fastings. She contains all the desirable features that any yachtsman cruising the East Coast in the late 1950s could have wanted, complete with a centreboard, gaff rig, and wood stove. 1964 Miller Fifer 28 REDUCED £12,000
The Miller Fifer was a very successful range of motor sailers, built by James Miller and Sons of St Monance, Scotland. Millers were a long established firm passing through several generations with a proud reputation for building fine fishing boats up to 70’ or so.
The yard also built a number of large yachts before the war and continued with yacht building in the 1950s and 1960s with the Fifer range. The Fifers had a direct lineage to the fishing boats built by the yard and, in their various sizes were built with the same massive scantlings as the fishing boats.
