KAMALA is a double ended Gaff Cutter on the lines of a Danish Pilot Boat and similar to the legendary seaworthy Colin Archer designs. Of comparatively recent build in 1986 she is constructed of Scandinavian Larch on very solid Baltic Oak framing with a Lead ballast keel.and stainless steel keel bolts. Attractive laid pine cabin top with varnished Oak coamings. Her wide side and fore'deck is glass cloth / epoxy sheathed keeping her dry below. With her generous beam of 8 foot 6 inches she is very stable and has the feel of a larger yacht. Good performance, perfectly balanced, light on the helm, easily handled and a delight to sail. Two berths with sitting headroom and no other facility provides simple cruising. She always attracts an admiring eye and complementary comment ! Featured in Classic Boat mag. Sept 1989.
