The Southerly 100 is a Dick Carter design, one of the few really shallow draught modern yachts available. She has a pilot house with interior steering, and a cast iron ballast plate protecting the keel and bottom when grounding. The Moody 346 remains one of the most popular Moody designs, largely due to the excellent aft cabin. This is a well looked after and updated example from 1987. The Victory 41 is a development of the Victory 40/Trintella IV design by van de Stadt. All these have an excellent aft cabin under a raised poop deck, the main differences being that the Victory 41 has an internal walk-through to the aft cabin. The Rival 32 is a solid traditional cruiser, with longish fin keel and skeg hung rudder. The Rival 31, 32 and 34 are very similar, all being very well respected as seagoing cruisers. The Moody 35 is a modern centre-cockpit yacht with a very good aft cabin, and the high quality build and finish of the later Moodys.
