The Hunter Liberty is just one of those boats that make you wonder why ALL trailer sailers can't be that easy, roomy and clever! A very roomy cockpit, a cabin that is cosy for three but ample for two for week-ends or longer, and a rig that is simplicity itself. 'Pick up mast, drop in to mount and lock' - no wires to tangle and snag. There's room for a camping style stove, a port-potti heads and comfortable berths clear of the centre board case. This boat has been owned by a thorough and competant yachtsman - you sense that the moment one steps on board. Life lines on deck, competant safety gea... read more

The Robber was a major advance in yacht design for her day which the boats of today have copied. She sails well and yet is easy to handle. She is set up for singlehanded sailing with a furling genoa and a stacker pack system for the main. She also has the advantage of an inboard engine that can push her along at up to 6 knots and a good sized cockpit. If you choose to enter her onto the club racing circuit she will give a good account of herself. The accommodation is open plan and can sleep up to 6 people. She has 2 berths forward. The heads are to port and the galley is opposite. There are 2... read more

The Westerly Konsort is still one of the most sought after designs from the Westerly stable of the 1980's. Mostly bilge keeled, over 800 of these roomy and versatile yachts were sold before cheaper foreign imports narrowed the market place for Westerly Yachts. At over 50K in the early nineties they simply couldn't compete with the French and German offerings of the time although build quality was second to none. This example which we offer for purchase is a slightly rare bird in that she is fin keeled and therefore has an enhanced sailing performance over her capable but marginally slower bil... read more

The Neptune 33 is a motor sailor which can sail well, she was designed by Alan Buchanan, a well respected designer of the time. She was made when boats were built exceptionally strongly. She is a good family cruising boat able to deal with most weather conditions keeping her crew both safe and dry. She has legs which can be fitted to enable her to dry out if required. The accommodation comprises of a double cabin forward with the heads to starboard. The main saloon has 2 large settee berths which have movable back rests which can be lifted up to become 2 pilot berths if required and there is... read more

It was not by mistake that Beneteau has become the largest European boat builder, it is their ability to design and build successful yachts. The Beneteau First 325 is a popular yacht from this yard, she is easy to sail, handles well and can look after her crew in all conditions. SHe has the benefit of being the shoal draft version and has the ability to dry out. She comes with a set of beaching legs. This particular vessel has been owned from new by her owner, a very experienced yachtsman, who has lovingly cared for her. Internally she is very well presented, showing no signs of age. Externa... read more

When I first set foot aboard the then NEW Hunter Pilot at the London Boat Show, circa1996, I was sure that here was a worthy successor to the venerable Westerly Centaur, which I had owned but very recently sold. It seemed to offer all the advantages of the Centaur for family cruising plus a more modern layout and the great luxury of an internal helm for those odd occasions when the weather turns foul! We had seen more than a few of those occasions and the pilot house, Eberspacher heating, hot water etc seemed very appealing, as well as maybe half a knot or so extra performance under sail. That... read more

A rare example (and 2nd build) of the flagship of the original Bavaria Yachts (ie before they went bankrupt for the first time) in year 2000. In those days, Bavaria built strong and stable boats and this model won the Best Boat award at Dusseldorf Boatshow (the largest show in Europe) in 2000. Only 7 are believed to have been built. This and the smaller 47ft sister are unique in having an aft deck extension which provides a platform for carrying a dinghy on top and liferaft below. So, while the hull length is 51ft, the overall length is 56ft. Vicarious is a centre-cockpit, GRP blue-water cru... read more

I have more than a soft spot for the Vancouver 28, having dreamed and lusted after one, and finally found myself the proud owner of such, when I took early retirement from my RAF career. A more capable and rugged cruising yacht of her length and displacement would be hard to find and our example here has had, for the last fourteen years, the care and attention of a very competent owner who has seemingly spared no expense in her upkeep. The list of replacements and additions is too long to list here but will be provided to any serious prospective buyer, as will sight of the 2015 survey. A rugg... read more

This particular steel Van Kleef 14m has proved herself a very capable and sure-footed craft. She has cruised extensively and without incident for 6 years, taking in the Atlantic coast of Spain and Portugal, The Canary Islands, crossed the Atlantic and extensively cruised the Caribbean. After a safe passage back home across the Atlantic, the skipper had 'scratched the itch' and placed her for sale. She may not be bristling with all the modern and complicated equipment sometimes to be found on a blue water yacht, but she is sensible, practical and very business like. She is reported to be a safe... read more

The Beneteau First 35S5 is a stylish, roomy, fast cruiser with good accommodation and with her powerful rig and deep fin keel she makes a very good 'round the cans' club racer too. Our offering here at Boatshed Wales, Neyland, is from the late '80's but she has had some serious recent upgrades to her in the way of epoxy coating below the waterline, rod rigging, interior varnish work and new windows in 2014. She was also re-engine'd in 2001. A fast and stylish cruiser with eight berths. These boat details are subject to contract. Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
