1986 Vancouver 274 19,950
Designed by Robert Harris as a blue water cruiser for two, the Vancouver 274 is a good all-weather performer, strongly built to high standards. A small boat with large horizons, her long keel and cutter rig make her ideal for shorthanded sailing and her modest draft gives her shallow water capability as well. The traditionally laid out interior is not as spacious as some modern lightweights but has proven to be comfortable and practical offshore. A 2012 survey report available on request

The Vancouver 27 is an uncompromisingly cruising-orientated design, with no concessions to racing or modern fashion. The heavy-displacement long keel hull is very solidly built, and the hull form copes well with added weight for stores for long passages. This yacht has a recently (2016) replaced engine.... read more

The Vancouver 27 is a very solid little long-keel cruiser. Wandering Star is a tidy example with a good specification and equipped for offshore cruising. Much loved having recently completed an Atlantic circuit. It's a tough decision to sell as she has been fantastic to me, but looking to purchase a slightly larger boat. She is well equipped but having looked at the market she is probably in need of some tender loving care and so I've priced accordingly. Birthed at Brixham.... read more

There are several small cruising boats that have gained reputations as safe and capable offshore designs. Among these "pocket voyagers" the Vancouver 27 stands out as a small boat with truly big boat capabilities. They are solid boats that although not particularly quick you know she'll get you there in safety and comfort and for a cruising couple has more than enough storage and living space for extended passage making. This particular boat is a quality Northshore build and fit out and she appears to have been well maintained and cared for since. She has just come ashore (October 2017) and lo... read more

I have more than a soft spot for the Vancouver 28, having dreamed and lusted after one, and finally found myself the proud owner of such, when I took early retirement from my RAF career. A more capable and rugged cruising yacht of her length and displacement would be hard to find and our example here has had, for the last fourteen years, the care and attention of a very competent owner who has seemingly spared no expense in her upkeep. The list of replacements and additions is too long to list here but will be provided to any serious prospective buyer, as will sight of the 2015 survey. A rugg... read more

The Vancouver 27 was the brainchild of Canadian naval architect Robert Harris, expressly designed to carry two people and all their belongings and provisions across oceans. At first glance they immediately exude a power and confidence that belies, by modern standards, their modest size and they have subsequently proved to be superb bluewater cruisers, capable of coping with the very worst conditions with every confidence. They are easily handled under sail and with their moderate draft also make excellent coastal cruisers.
This really nice example has been carefully and thoroughly prep... read more

The Vancouver 34 Classic is a true offshore cruiser, she is a go anywhere yacht that makes an ideal passage maker. Her interior fit-out has been designed with passage making in mind with good sea berths and compact galley layout, yet she is still very comfortable in harbour. She has a full-size forward-facing chart table which is excellent for passage planning. The Vancouver 34 Classic has a well-balanced sail plan: she is capable of high speeds and passage times over extended periods.
