NEW engine and gearbox March 2024 c/w 5 years of guarantee.
New gas system Feb 2024.

This is a beautiful 5 berth yacht with a large cockpit and roomy interior that I sell reluctantly. Sails replaced 2021. New rig 22. She has been in the area in Essex for many years and the two owners before myself were father and then son and they knew the owner before that. I purchased her in September 2020 and have had a shipyard bring her back to full sailing condition professionally. She is fast, I have had her do over 8 knots with a dirty bottom and the old sails and over 11 knots on waves during the return from the Scillies in 2021! She handles easily and has a lovely motion. Excellent Autopilot recalibrated 2024. All ship's batteries replaced May 2022.

Topsides. New 2022 Sprayhood with window and dodgers give sheltered sailing in wet conditions but the sprayhood can be dropped quickly, old cleaned and available too. Most lines are led aft via deck tidies to the cockpit for easy single handed sailing.  Integrated wheel steering and binnacle compass. Integrated remote control for electric windlass to single anchor with chain. Ships main anchor and 2021 50 m chain in bow locker.

There is a folding table for the aft cockpit. Saloon has a folding table too with integral bar.

Internally - 2 cabins with 2 /3 berths forward and 2 berths in main cabin and a further 1/4 berth. Forecabin with hatch and portholes has a large S/S watertank as original and signed by the craftsman. Many storage lockers. Drinking water is electrically pumped in the heads and the galley.

Berthing up to 5, 1 in quaterberth, 2 in the main cabin and 2 or possibly 3 in the forepeak and there is a substantial folding table in the main cabin. 

Aft of forecabin and port side are the heads which is roomy with sink and JABSCO loo and storage and replaced 2022 with new Blakes hull valve and pipes. Opposite are 2 large hanging lockers with power too.

Chart - table and instruments and other controls on port side in front of 1/4 berth. Cabin has good internal lighting with LEDs.

On starboard side near companion way steps is the galley, with gimbled 2 burner cooker and oven and grill and storage with functioning freezer. All gas was checked and hoses replaced and system upgraded late 2024 by a professional marine gas engineer. Single drainer sink. Electrically pumped fresh water. Good fridge freezer.

220/240 V wired throughout off shore charger. 12V DC available from battery via inverter 150 watt inverter fitted 2021.

LOA: 31 feet (9.45m) length overall.

LWL: 25 feet (7.62m) waterline length.

Beam: 9 feet 6 inches beam (2.9 m).

Twin bilge keels made of cast iron. Keel bolts inspected May 22 by surveyor. However, inspections by the shipyard 2021 have shown that the keels remain secure with little movement reported by she was lifted by crane. Videos of the recent lift are available.

Displacement: 9790 lbs/4441kg. Fully loaded 5500 to 6000kg as reported May and June 22.

Ballast: 4436lbs/2012kg.

Built: Westerly 1979 to Lloyds approval. Hull number SOU145979.

Fibreglass hull reported to be up to 1" thick outfitted mainly in wood internally to a high standard. Boat holds it's rig tension.

Hull - epoxy coated. Some signs of blistering but had a previous epoxy coating and shipyard consider not serious. Re-antifouled by the shipyard early 2021 and further re-antifoul June 22 and 2024.

Rudder - removed 2020 and 2022 and shaft bearing reset and new shaft packing. Repainted underwater 2021 some non structural blistering reported. Rudder has an emergency tiller.

Cockpit wheel steering and binnacle compass.

Engine: BETA MARINE, 30 Hp 3 cylinder installed by Elite Marine 2024 and service and new engine mounts upgrades including new filters, fuel tank inspection hatch and new electric fuel gauge and new plastic 63 litre tank 2024. Repositioned new fuel filler to avoid water ingress to fuel system with winch handle access cap. Timer showed 135 hours running Oct 2024.

Sep 24 new Hand pump fitted port quarter externally, and internal electric pump all functional.

Recent Upgrades

2021 and 22, 23 and 24. Hull repainted every year.

2021 - stainless steel 316 propeller shaft, new 3 bladed bronze propeller c/w nut&split pin 2024 and new cutlass bearing and shaft seal with new grease packing and anode.

2021 - KEMP Mainsail , 3 deep reefing points and new furling lines.

2021 - KEMP Furling Genoa with UV strip -  colour matched. 

2021 - KEMP lazy stack pack in matching colours to boat livery.

2021 - Sailspars continuous line furler GBS 6mm forestay with new 6mm boltrope foil c/w new forestay. Fitted by shipyard.

New standing rigging June 2022 by Allspars and forestay 21. Thought to be in good order with new forestay and furler too 2021. The furler is Sailspars, is bi-directional with continuous line and excellent. I used 150mm instead of the recommended 100 mm which makes it eat the genoa when it is time to furl away.

New Kemp main and 130% genoa 2021.

Slab reefing from cockpit for No 1. No 2 and 3 are from the mast and operate freely as there are pulleys on the cringles. All reefs run to cockpit.

2nd Mainsail - old but functional and restored 2023.

2nd Genoa - old but functional and restored 2023.

Small spare jib - stained.

Spinnaker and pole - both old but functional. End fitting replaced 2021 by Allspars.

NEMO kicker re-furbished May 21 by Allspars.

Tanks estimated: 63 plus litres diesel, water 110 litres. 2021 spare diesel cans.

Anode 2024 on hull.

New - ships' lines 2021.

Gas hoses replaced late 2024. 3 x 4.5kg butane gas bottles.

Fenders with some new covers 2021.

50 m 8mm chain replaced 2021 for main anchor which is a 12kg and 15kg Bruce and is very very good operating with electric windlass which was replaced in 2024 with a QUICK. Spare new 6 kg grapnel and chain/warp.

2021 ICOM IC-M330GE Compact VHF/DSC ZICOM330GE with internal GPS receiver and external GPS antenna.  Fitted by Essex marine electrician. Electrician also did a bunch of general wiring improvements including the switch box terminal strips and mast re-wiring.

AIST 2021: - Quark A051T and QK VHF aerial. Receiver and transmitter - short range.

Mast rewired 2021 and LEDs fitted on mast for TRI/Anchor light and Steaming/deck light and new VHF aerial. 2 spare ways remain.

Chartplotter - GARMIN GPSMap 202 - functional but old.

NAVTEX NX - 300 functional but old

FURONO GPS NAVIGATOR - functional but old. I use this as the main GPS but the ICOM radio has it's own.

New slim radar reflector 2022.

Log and echo sounder. Log non functional but echo sounder good.

Integrated to wheel steering Raytheon ST6000 pilot functional.

Planar diesel heater, had some exhaust routing improvements in refit 2021. Needs some upgrades.

Electrical Supplies

3 x 12V batteries replaced May 2022 all new.

Selector switch for 1 or 2 or 3 batteries. One is dedicated to engine.

Wired throughout with 220-240V mains off shore supply cable. 

12V-30A PRO CHARGE Ultra power manager. Checked and re-installed by electrician in 2021.

DCM MK111 ADVERC battery voltage/amps display. I use this to monitor the battery condition.

Raymarine echo sounder functional. I find this excellent.
