Located under companionway, Beta 14 2-cylinder 14hp diesel engine (new 2008). Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single level control with electric start. Shaft drive to fixed 3-bladed propeller.
The engine has been serviced annually by both the current owner and local marine specialist. It appears to be in very good cosmetic condition and has proven very reliable under current ownership. The last service was in 2018 and the cutlass bearing was replaced in 2017.
Trapper 500 built by Trapper Yachts in 1978. Cream GRP hull with cream superstructure and decks with blue painted non-slip surfaces. Cast iron fin keel. Tiller steering to spade rudder. Self draining cockpit. Hull epoxied.
5 berths in 2 cabins with approx. 5'10" max. headroom. Forepeak with V berth and stowage areas. Heads compartment to port with marine toilet, wash basin, storage cupboard and further stowage opposite. Saloon with a dinette to port which can convert to form a double berth, settee to starboard and ample lockers. Quarter berth aft to port with sliding chart table. Galley aft to starboard consisting of a two burner gas stove with grill, galley sink, built in 12v coolbox, pressurised pumped cold water supply and stowage. Carpets and curtains. Recent water-resistant cushions in blue throughout.
