This Penzzini IOR Racer was built in Italy in 1989 for the IOR 2 Ton rule in order to participate in the Admirals Cup. The present owner had the boat for 24 year and during his ownership, he has done a lot of modifications and improvements on the boat. Now she is easier and safer to handle with a smaller crew, and the comfort on- and below deck has significantly improved. The high racing mast and mainsail have been fitted with Frederiksen/Ronstan Track and batt cars system, so reefing and taking in the sails is safe and easy for two persons. The headsail is fitted with a furling system. The whole steering system is changed to a custom made JEFA system with carbon steering wheel and double rudder for more comfortable steering over longer distance. There are large hatches fore and aft with good storage below. All electric systems have been professionally redone with Victron charger/inverters and closed waterproof electric boards. The interior has been rebuilt with respect for the original of the boat for greater cruising comfort. See detailed description below. Perfect for Two Star or fully crewed races. But also a perfect boat for cruising, sailings schools or social projects. Absolutely worth seeing and ready to go for the next happy owner.
