Sea-worthy enough for extended coastal work, with a lifting keel that permits full exploration of the shallowest of tidal waterways. Whilst easily handled by one, two of us have cruised in dry comfort with ample stowage above & below deck, yet with room for two more to sleep on the fitted cushions under a brand new, windowed boom tent.
Kingfisher's large cockpit would usually swallow a couple of young families (4+4+dog) for long lazy picnic and swimming trips around Chichester Harbour & Solent forays; acting as a mother ship for various dinghies & hungry children, she would often anchor off or beach on the sand at Pilsea, East Head or Hayling, or a sneaky evening run to favourite waterfront pubs.
With her classic dark blue hull, cream deck, tan sails and all running rigging, deck gear and electronics in very good condition, this is a boat that has been lovingly used and reliably maintained, and would make a perfect craft to join the flotillas of similar vessels on various coastal raids.
Always wintered under cover, she is self-evidently a dry boat and her annually serviced Yanmar GM10 runs as reliably as any. Since being grit-blasted & epoxy Copper-coated in spring 2019 (10-year guarantee), she has had very little use this year due to owner's ill health, which very sadly forces this sale.
The engine has been turned over every month or so, and will be winterised in Nov.; spars & bowsprit will be epoxied and teak trimming re-oiled over the coming months or prior to sale.
Heavy duty galvanised road trailer & Walker Bay 10 tender (+trolley) in v. good condition and one complete set of pristine (unused) sails. Equipment includes Garmin GPS plotter, Autohelm depth-sounder, nav lights, DSC VHF radio, compass, twin (fresh) batteries, stainless-steel push-pit guardrail & boarding ladder, 10kg CQR anchor & ground chain, 2-blade prop w. fitted rope cutter, warps, lines, fenders, berth and cockpit cushions, mainsail cover, cockpit cover plus full cockpit boom-tent, jib roller-furler & 2 slab reefing lines on main; CD/FM radio, Webasto warm air heater, hob, sink, chemical toilet, paraffin stove, fire extinguisher, sealed flares, radar reflector, fog horn, life-buoys & throwing line, harnesses & safety lines.
