Great opportunity to acquire a safe and comfortable first class bluewater cruiser at a bargain price. Heavily upgraded in 2020 and well maintained with new rigging, engine, boom, sails, windows, electrics and electronics - in fact everything you need for long distance cruising. Happily able to stay at anchor for long periods with big battery capacity and solar/wind generator. Built in 1990 but only fitted out in 1996, Topaz Rival is only in her second ownership. I purchased her in 2018 with the intention of cruising to the Caribbean and post-Covid we had a fantastic time on an Atlantic circuit in 2023/24. Accommodation

Five berths in two cabins. Large comfortable forward cabin with V-berth and infill. Fitted memory foam mattress. All windows and hatches refurbished (2020) and completely waterproof. “Jack and Jill” heads very popular with crew as it gives absolute privacy to forward cabin.

Construction

Hull moulded in 1990 by Southern Boatbuiling Co. Encapsulated Scheel keel and skeg rudder. Topaz Rival received full Hot-Vac professional osmosis treatment as part of the 2020 refit and Coppercoat antiflouling was added.

Reliable and easily maintained Beta 35 installed in 2020 to replace origianal Bukh 36. Shaft drive with Volvo cutless bearing and Darglow Featherstream propeller (2021). Stainless steel fuel tank with inspection hatch. Ambassador rope cutter. 60 amp alternator.
