Largo is a Rival 32 which has been in my ownership for 30 years. She has been well maintained and constantly upgraded. In my ownership she has been cruised around the Channel and in 2024 I raced her successfully in The Cornwall Offshore Group Sailing winning the Offshore Shorthanded Series. She is Category 2 RORC compliant. I was in the process of preparing her for the 2027 Azores and Back race but have now decided to get a bigger boat. (The Monitor wind vane will be removed for the new boat).
She is fully kitted out for coastal cruising and offshore blue water sailing.
Largo has a practically new Bukh DV 24 engine. The ‘Rolls Royce’ of cruising engines which was fully rebuilt by Mylor Marine Team.
She has a good set of Kemp cruising sails well cared for and removed and dry stored each winter.
The standing rigging is in a constant cycle of renewal. The running rigging has been replaced where appropriate.
She has recently had an electronics upgrade consisting of a B and G Vulcan plotter and a Garmin AIS, both transmit and receive, which is fully integrated through a NEMA 2000 backbone. There is also a back up AIS on the digital VHF.
Last winter she had an intensive refit involving the removal and rebedding of most of the deck fittings. The port and starboard toe rails were replaced and all the windows were removed and resealed. She is a very dry boat.
Items to attend to:
The deck gelcoat has worn through in places. The tread master anti slip could do with replacing. Just to note as mentioned the Monitor Windvane is not included and will be removed.
Largo is an extremely tough boat and ready to sail anywhere.
She's moored near Falmouth and I'm happy to take serious buyers for a test sail.
