Philos is an exceptionally good-looking, 36’ steel hulled yacht The hull was professionally built and launched in Holland in 1991. She was acquired by her present owner in 2004 and he has sailed her extensively, including a two year cruise, starting from Falmouth, which took in the coast of France, Spain and Portugal as well as the Canary Isles and the Azores. Philos has looked after her owner and crew superbly and is a proven blue water cruiser.
Sadly, deteriorating health has brought about the owner’s decision to sell Philos as she is not getting the use or the maintenance she deserves. After almost twenty years in his ownership, she is now looking for a new and enthusiastic owner, one who will see her potential and perhaps take her further afield.
Philos is currently lying to a swinging mooring in the sheltered waters of upper Loch Sween. She is starting to show her age and would benefit from some TLC . Her interior, although fully functional, is in need of updating and some trim replaced. Some of her navigation equipment is in need of updating. Her decks have some minor, cosmetic rust spots but are structurally sound.
