East Coast Essex UK|
Designed by Tony Castro, with a masthead rig and tiller steering, she has a lifting keel and is an ideal family boat for East coast sailing.
With fore and aft cabins giving accommodation, including main cabin, for six people.
She is very responsive at helm, tacks and jibes well and can be sailed without using the lifting keel.
We have had Equity for 15 years, sailing on the South coast and mainly East coast, where the shallow draft is a real bonus.
We are selling Equity due to a combination of ill health, family commitments abroad and now old age. She now needs some updating with more modern equipment with a little TLC but she makes an excellent East coast sailor.
Equity was the star of the Ferhurst book 'Boat Handling Under Sail and Power' by Bill Anderson and Tom Cunliffe.
