Designed by Ron Holland and built by Master Marine (UK) the Eygthene 24 is a quarter tonner designed for speed. The Yachting Monthly review of the design said they make a good entry level club racer or a sprightly and entertaining pocket cruiser. In need of some cosmetic attention. The Eygthene 24 is powered by a Yanmar 1GM 7.5hp diesel engine (last serviced by the owner 2018), shaft drive to a three bladed bronze propellor, plastic fuel tank. Last out of water service 2017.
Below decks is bright and roomy thanks to the generous beam of the yacht. The raised coach roof gives decent headroom and although this isn't full standing, but it does not feel cramped. Woodwork is a combination of hard woods and teak faced marine ply. galley area to starboard with space for 2-burner gas hob, oven and grill, coolbox. The hand pumped water system with small sink. The forward cabin features two singles and a marine head to port. Opposite the heads is a large hanging space and wet locker. Two settee berths in the saloon. Hull mounted storage and additional storage beneath bunks.
