Here is a small day boat, ideal for getting afloat and pottering. Sheltered waters only.
The boat comes as a package which includes the trailer.
The sails should give fair propulsion but this is very much a little cruising boat for daysailing and fishing. The rig is basic but functional.
In the cabin there are two berths which gives enough room for a snooze and a bit of shelter to brew up a drink or unpack the sandwiches.
The cockpit is fairly roomy and the boat seemed reasonably well proportioned.
In summary, a real starter boat package.

A distinctive and classic sailing yacht that still represents a benchmark for good yacht design. Rival 32's are well known as excellent cruising yachts. The hull shape and rig design is very seaworthy and these boats are capable of extended cruising. For the average yachtsperson they are easy to handle and secure when the wind gets up.
Below decks the accommodation is deceptively spacious but the layout is thoughtful and practical.
Upon leaving the boat I would summarise her as being a safe and good all-round cruiser.

Built by Conyplex in Holland in 1978 she has had only two owners and has been well maintained to a very high standard.
GRP hull, lead encapsulated keel, and teak decks. Seven berths in three cabins. New cabin heating, fridge, cooker, hot water calorifier. New Beta 37.5 HP engine, propeller, prop shaft and cutlass bearing fitted 2003. New guard rails and standing rigging fitted 2007. Full battened main, new roller furling genoa 2005, storm jib and spinnaker. GPS, Furuno radar, Auto Helm ST 6000 auto pilot, GMDSS VHF. Self tailing winches, electric anchor windlass. Life raft, Avon Rubber dinghy and four stroke outboard.
Antares 11 is a quality, well built and sea kindly yacht, and her spacious cockpit makes her ideal for comfortable family cruisng. As we, her current owners, are now retiring from sailing altogether Antares 11 comes with an extremely comprehensive inventory which is available on request. |
