‘Alar’ is a carvel ‘British’ Folkboat, no 468, built by the famous boatbuilders Shepherds of Windermere in 1967, although she has spent most of her life in Ireland. She is in commission and lying on a sheltered mooring in Strangford Lough, County Down. She has been regularly sailed, lovingly maintained and is in excellent condition, well-equipped and fully ready for coastal sailing.
